Oven Cooking Directions

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Step 2
    Thaw sauce packets in water.
  • Step 3
    Place frozen fish fillets on baking sheet.
  • Step 4
    Bake fillets for 26-28 minutes*. Flip at 16 minutes.
    * Remember to fully cook fish to an internal temperature of 145° or higher.
  • Step 5
    Add sauce to fish fillets as you wish - as a topping or on the side as a dip!

Inspired Fish and Chips

CLASSIC FISH AND CHIPS DINNER

TOTAL TIME: 30 MINUTES
SERVES 2

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Hook Line and Savor Crispy Beer Battered Haddock fillets with Classic New England Tartar Sauce
  • 8 oz frozen French fries of your choice
  • 1/4 cup allergy-friendly mayo
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups rainbow coleslaw blend

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cook fish fillets and French fries according to package directions.
  2. Thaw tartar sauce according to package directions.
  3. Meanwhile, whisk together allergy-friendly mayo, vinegar, mustard, honey, salt and pepper; stir in parsley, green onions and shallot. Toss with coleslaw blend. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve fish with French fries and coleslaw.

    Tip: Change up the flavor of the coleslaw by adding chopped capers, dill or tarragon.

About the Fish

Haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus) is a saltwater fish from the family Gadidae. It is found in the North Atlantic Ocean and associated seas. Haddock is a very popular fish for eating and it is sold fresh or preserved by smoking, freezing, drying, or to a small extent canned. Haddock, along with Atlantic cod and plaice, is one of the most popular fish used in British fish and chips. It is a white and flaky fish, and while similar to cod, eats a bit drier with a slightly sweeter taste.
